It is too well known that Owen Bradley, Nashville's most important producer, produced in 1988, though he had retired because of a heart attack since 1980 . But this is not 100% country album. As it said that kd had been wanting to be a jazz singer before her debut, such jazzy songs as "Black Coffee" and "Busy Being Blue" are also included. Bradley liked the old technique of recording the session live, so "Tears Don't Care Who Cries Them" and "Black coffee" were recorded completely live, including the strings and the steel guitar. kd embarrassed Buddy Emmons (Steel Guitar) because of her perfectionism. And of course, we can't forget that the great singers such as Kitty Wells, Blenda Lee, and Loretta Lynn, participated in "Honky Tonk Angels' Medley." Did you notice that kd was wearing a ring on her ring finger in her promotion video "Honky Tonk Angels' Medley"? That's included in "Harvest Of Seven Years."
