[620] Your way Posted by:Magda Date:11/01/2004, Mon 04:33:48

Have you read your horoscope for today. Very interesting, boss. They mentioned our stares and couldn't help but remember foxwood. They seemed to think I would back down ....but as you remember we stuck it out together. Who put the glue in our eyes.
Hope you don't catch the flu that is plaguing us here.
They have no shots for it so many will die,
the news says. Guess that will be my time. My car didn't pass inspection as I need two new tires on the right hand side and gas is so expensive I will not travel, cannot. I have one daughter that has COPD and has oxygen 24/7. She is only 52 but is filled with arthritis and now diabetes. I've had 2 heart attact in the early 90's and flatlined three times. It is beautiful on the "other side" I was back in the40's in my 20's with a full, swinging skirt, and dancing like no gravity all over the beautiful blue and white clouds with flowers everywhere as far as the eye could see.
heard your voice singing one time very faintly and maybe that is why I came back. The nurses didn't tell me it was the Dr. who told me I flatlined. I could have stayed there it was so beautiful. Wonder what happened to our friend John Edward on TV. He is no longer on TV but on tour. He"s booked up for five years. I think I'll go check out his website. Even if they founf him a scam he gave a lot of peace to many people, but I still believe in him. Miss his program. Ellen and Oprah are butting heads and Ellen better come up wioth something new. Oprah is outragous.Giving cars away to contestants and then to the whole audience. A lot of those people have cars and here we are sitting at home with no car or one we can't drive. It makes me mad. "O"
got all the cars donated about 279 of them. I've forgotten, but boy does she rule the airways. I"m for Ellen and told her to liven up her show. She doesn't make it gay at all. Too bad, people are more accepting now. Even "O" has gay people on and discusses it. Get
back here soon and team up with Ellen. She's damn good,
but the people I hear are turning her off. I feel so
sorry for her, but she is so funny and too clean. I like it when someone hits on something gay and she says" We wont go there" I'll always love your singing and have it playing as I type"What a Wonderful world"
Wish I had a Patsy Cline CD of yours. Let me play critic and send me one at least with Crazy on it and
Walking after midnight. Those are my two favorites. I
know your over in Europe somewhere so sending my love
and good health to you.Love that voice. Rainbow

my 24 years on this earth have been very interesting to say the least and i just wanted to let you KD know that when you sing it effects many people but for me it was absolutely changing and no one has ever effected me that way.
thank you and some time i hope to be able to meet you. that would be fun.

Dearest KD,
The snow is swirling outside, and the red wine is abundant as I listen to Hymns from the 49th Parallel. The entire CD is beautiful, but Hallelujah brings tears to my eyes! I am in Yellowknife, NT - soon to depart for home in Nova Scotia. Wish I could see you somewhere along the way...
Sing on, beautiful one!

Dear K.d.,

ENJOY YOUR TOUR. My "girlfriend " said regards to you.

[616] SingRainbow Posted by:Magdalene Date:10/30/2004, Sat 23:21:55

With thoughts of you on Nov 2nd. Especially that day and as it goes everyday. Was thinking it has been a year as of Nov 2 since I had ANYTHING. Guess people don't think older women want and NEED companionship, the only club I know of is the Golden Threads in Demorest Ga,they have them from 40 up to 100 but one year ago when I went to visit a 72 year old in Indiana
She put me way up over the rainbow and then some. It was the greatest and most fulfilling in my whole lifetime. She spoiled me rotten and I can't forget it. I
haven't bothered with anyone since. Guess my viginity is growing back. My computer is a mess and you are the only reason I am keeping it, otherwise I would sell it.
So you know how much you mean to me and I am sure Patsy.
Did you keep the pink rose I sent backstage in Boston?
Often wonder if you still remember me. I still rememberFoxwoods and the glued eyes.Constant Craving.
Lots of memories. You mean a lot to me. My Best on your tour. You must be in Europe or Australia. I KNOW the pressure your under. It must be taking a big toll on you. But your singing comes first and that variable voice of yours. In Boston I thought it was a man singing in that duet you sang with yourself. You had me fooled
for a minute. May Christ be with you always as he is with me. XXMagda

[612] Society of Singers: Great Voices Great Songs Posted by:Eric Kayser Date:10/28/2004, Thu 09:21:07

I've been enjoying this great compilation featuring kd & Tony Bennett's version of "What a Wonderful World" along side 19 other great and near-great recordings (including Sinatra, Ella, Etta, Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney as well as younger generation singers Diana Krall, Jane Monheit and more). Has anyone else heard this?

I've long admired the Society of Singers (www.singers.org) and the work they do to help uninsured and financially disadvantaged professional singers. This is a great way to support that cause and pick up a wonderful CD.

I posted a lengthier review on Amazon in case you care to read it. You can find the review and the CD at:

[611] Wierd one Posted by:tori Date:10/28/2004, Thu 01:45:17

How do you do it? Flawless performance night after night, I struggle to do 2 hours set. To me, a performance that is funny, flawless, tallented and inspiring. I'll be honest, I was never attracted to Ms Lang until I saw her performance in London a few years back, while I am not an avid follower (I try to make my own singing fortune you see) I am an admirer from a short distance.

There have been a few albums, songs that I have no idea what they are about but then there are those that still remain in my car to be played over again.

Not to mention that the concert in question was the first lesbian thing I went to, I felt like part of a family and it came at just the right time.

Thank you

Tori

I have tried to e-mail you a birthday card but no success as i don't know your e-mail address. Thanks a lot. I wanted to wish you a little ahead of time a happy 43 birthday come on catch up to me..You've got long legs and arms, so consider this filled with rainbows and stars and clouds over a deep, sea blue bay, with the hollywood hills in the background. That is what I have as my wallpaper and it is beautiful. I will be thinking of you all day and wishing you all the happiness and joy that you can take. Your a big boned gal like me so guess we can hold a lot of hugs and love.
Stay as sweet as you are but please contact me with a postcard on my birthday Dec. 5th.( or a picture of you.)
You have all my info on the cards I sent backstage in Boston. That's the least you can do for such a devoted fan. I bugged Ellen until she had you on and I got you on tape. Lucky me. I loved the way you squinted up your eyes and mouth. You looked so cute. You were just tickled to death....and I am glad to see you happy. You have such a heavy load with this tour.
My very Best to you and make it home safely. Patti

My computer is acting up and hope it will last until I tell you. I went over to my tapes and took it right out. It was called "Helpless" I have a sample CD they gave away at the concert. It doesn't have all the songs on it . It is a tease so I will have to go out and buy one CD. I have all of hers. Wish you luck....

Can anyone tell me what the name of the song was that k.d. sang on the Ellen Degeneres Show on 9/30? I do not recognize it on the new CD. It was a great performance.

Thank you!

[606] song Posted by:Phyllis Date:10/20/2004, Wed 22:52:47

Hi k.d.,
I don't know where you are as I can't bring up a k.d. lang tour. Wherever you are Let me tell you I have seen you on TV twice. Once as I wrote earlier on Ellen where you were tickled pink and the other time on Regis' morning show. I know you wern't live and it was pre taped but it was so good to see you. Still no
Patsy Page. Why don't you make up a CD for me as a "Tribute to Patsy" and let me pass judgement on it. You know how outspoken I am. You can forget "Two cig. in an Ashtray as you know I don't like that one" but any of her songs were beautiful and I"d like to hear from you in regards to it. Just look at that little pink rose I sent backstage in Boston and Remember Me.
If you don't want to make it on one, and let me be the critic, then PLEASE just make a "Tribute to Patsy". She would be delighted ,of that I am sure . I have a feeling it will sell it'self off the market and make sure WalMarts get them as they SELL there. I Promise you you won't be disappointed, I have this psychic feeling that it will start your career over again with enough PR all over.
You had promised one and many people have asked me whatever became of it. It never came on the shelves. Why get your public all peeped up and then not produce it. Whatever happened?Take that pin out and look at it, and you'll hear Patsy telling you to "GO AHEAD k.d. DO IT FOR ME" I know I'm one of billions of fans but we have a mind connection. I feel it. It seems like as I read thru the other mail "Constant Craving" is becomming what people mention most. With your eyes glued to mine in Ct. I shall never forget it. Thats for sure. My copier is broken so have to put anything I get in my SAVED on PC files. Can't afford to get a new one or afford the cartridges, they are so expensive. so do without as usual. I"m used to that. Wish you would give me a quick phone call as I sent back stage in Boston two of my former business cards with one with my phone # on it and the other with my "username" along with my picture and the PinkLove Pin from beyond. Hope you didn't toss it out. With deep affection and concern in my heart,
I remain faithfully yours, Phyllis "Pink Roses"

May I correct a little error concerning the Red Hot Lisbon collection. A Brazilian told you the song Fado Hilario meant something like hilarious. This is not correct. The fado (not Fad) was written by Augusto Hilario da Costa Alves who died in 1896.

My dearest KD,

You helped me come out to myself many years ago - and since then, I feel a humble gratitude to you and will always be most thankful and grateful for first watching a Documentary about your life all those years ago.

After only ever seeing you in the flesh once, some years ago in London, I am now getting to witness your amazing talents on stage in Northern Ireland in early December.

I know it's early - and I haven't been up to Belfast to see you yet - but it's the best Christmas present I have ever bought myself before, so many many thanks.

With fondest regards and thanks,

[592] gay & lesbian teens Posted by:David Topel Date:10/07/2004, Thu 08:42:10

Dear MS Lang,

Im writing to ask for your support of The Attic Youth Center, Philadelphias lgbtq center for 12 to 23 year olds. Our first black tie dinner & silent auction to celebrate The Attic's Tenth Anniversary is coming up on Nov 13th. As I sent off an E mail to a friend of mine on staff at Will & Grace for an item for our silent auction it occurred to me that many other caring people might be interested in helping support Philadelphia's lgbt youth. I asked Gary for a script signed by the cast. Would you kinldy consider donating an item for our silent auction? All proceeds from the event will help bring in much needed funding to help us expand our services from 5 to 7 days a week and better address the issue of homelessness among the lgbt youth population here in Philadelphia.

The Gala promises to be an upscale evening of dining and dancing at Philadelphia's waterfront Hyatt Hotel with an honorary committee headed by Governor Ed Rendell and Mayor John Street along with Bruce Vilanch, author Lorene Cary, Temple University President David Adamany, Rex Reed and many regional civic leaders.

A little bit about The Attic: The Attic's founder Dr. Carrie Jacobs gathered together a group of inner city youth 12 years ago to see what they needed - unsalaried and with few resources, the skill and compassion of this woman took hold. From that loving intention, a safe haven grew and lives were changed. Today, one of 12 such centers in the US, The Attic has gained national prominence due to the effectiveness of its unique youth empowerment model. The greater community has rallied around The Attic helping it to purchase its own four story building at 16th and Spruce Streets. More than 8,500 youth have come thru our doors for services ranging from psychotherapy, education and HIV counseling to participation in our award winning socially conscious improvisational theater troupe, Thesbians & Drama Queens. We currently serve 600 youth each month.

Thanks, so much for your consideration.
Warm regards,
David

[591] helpless Posted by:Phyllis McCarthy Date:10/06/2004, Wed 10:32:38

Boy I hope you get this before you leave the states. WherI got the title Love is everything I don't know. Just played the tape over to see you once again. Your jacket wasn't lke the one in Boston. The one in Boston had a high neck and buttons up the front ( like Lizzie Bordens) I was so excited to see you smiling and so happy to be on Ellen's show. I had begged her to have you on over and over. She just mentioned the day before as the last name "k.d"Lang and I hardly heard it. Usually I am at the computer while she is on with one ear on her and the other with my typing making mistakes. I noticed you squeezed your eyes tight like you were thrilled to be on and so tickled to be on with Ellen. I am so glad she finally had you ..I had waitid a year to see you and got it on tape. Hopeless seems the word for life in general. I feel hopeless all the time. My horescope promises me one thing and the next day it tells me to live in my dreams and not to forget the fantacy I have, so I"ve accepted that and
being a sagattarius it finds me right to the point. That is correct. Liz and I are impossible together as she doesn't believe in long distance relationships. She
will nmot move and neither will I as I realize that financially we couldn not make it together. I get a small SocialSecurity and hers is less. Benefits for Sr.Citizens are much greater in MA than any state going so I have been told by my ST. Rep. who I am firends with. He came over and spent an hour ad 1/2 with me the other night and asked if I had gotten down to see you in July He has been so busy campaigning and running from onemeeting in Boston andthen another. I found out he wanted to raise the sales tax by 1% but it was turned down. He didn't mention it another Rep. did to me. He is so handsome and TALL and tanned that I thik that is why he gets all the votes and told him so. He more or less agreed with me, when he was leaving I mentioned that his looks helped him a lot. He grinned and said sheepishly Yes," I guess so" When he first ran for election two years ago he had a pretty young girl with him and introduced her as his fiance. HE USED HER I PERSONALLY THINK as they broke their engagment and marriage plans and separated around July 9 or 10th. Right while you were here. He is well liked but has not done one thing for me as he promised, all excuses. So I am not working for him this year but he still stuck a sign up on my front lawn. I saw it the next morning. I'm just not going to VOTE this year. There all a bunch of phonies. You can't believe a word they say . ANY OF THEM. Thats about as close as I want to come to politics. I don't think I am going over to vote this year. I hate liars. I like people who engage in interesting conversations and to be around people who like the thing I like. Like music. Since I was a child. I was even a teen age groupie and in Fla. got to know a lot of entertainers as I was working the switchboard in the hotel and knew almost anyone and what they did. Like wherever you stay I bet there is a lot of talk.We all love you but use a cell phone for your privacy. You must know all that. You don't advertize your web site but people come across it
somhow. I got you in thru my computer man. He did you and Ellen for me but I have about 100 others that I don't know how they got on there. I don't know even how to enter into my address book or my buddy list, but the buddylist filled it'sself. I don't know how people put their names on but they do and even the gayRainbow sign as they've read my profile. That is a doozy! I was feeling great that day . no cares, just full of fun.
Well I can look at your tape but can't use my printer anymore as it's out of ink and won't work and I can't afford any, and can't find your tours anyhow. You eveidently don't care who know over here if you are in the Netherlandor England or Australia. I was surprised to hear you say you wouldn't be back to the states until
next Feb. My GOD you must have a lot of stories to tell about the different countries. I've been to France and the tip of Spain as you know but that is as far as I travelled other than Porto rico CUBA and met his men, sat in their laps ans stroked their beards, but I was with a Catholic priest who had been their college teacher in Cuba.He sttod by to protect me. That was in the early 60's and Castro is still alive and 70 and a Bitch as ever. The country I loved and seem to fall in love with all the countries I visit. I love the palm trees especially. Not the ocean but pools. I love. No sharks or tenticles from jelly fish. My daughter got scrapped to hell in Fla by a man of war.She was scratched and sore for months and never liked the water since. I love it. Well I must close.
I do hope you have a lot of Press to advertize you as you float around. My very BEST to you and your perormance. Take a REST now and THEN this is a big tour.
Bless you , Phyllis

[590] on Ellen Posted by:Phyllis McCarthy Date:10/04/2004, Mon 22:00:43

Hi!
Saw you on Ellen the other day.You sang grear as usual. and you know it. The hymns of the 49th parallel are bautiful especially when you sing them Especially like that "Love is everything." I sort of liked your outfit.
The top is the kinda thing that you wore in Boston but it was the skirt that made it horrible then, not now with the pants. That was much beter. The top reminds me of the old pictures of Lizzie Borden as that is the kind of clothes she wore in that time and era. Look her up or maybe you saw her movie as one time. I think Liz Montgomery played the part of Lizzie Borden. I thnk her house is now used for tourism. I watch it every time it comes on.
For a Rainbow gal she was pretty wild. Boy did she ever hate her mother and Father. After the trial she and her sister spent up intil their last days in that house. It's somwhere in between here and Boston. Fall River I do believe. Wonder if she was gay and also her sister and that is why she applied 40 whacks as her parents wouldn't leave them alone. It was horrible, but they do far worse in this war as they cut off the heads
of our good fighting men I always thought that it was one swift blow to the neck but a returning vet told me they do it so slow that the man can feel it until he goes unconcious. Brrrrrr! It gives me the chills thinking of it. Lizzie was quick in her style.Look up the story of Lizzie Borden on you computer. I'm sure you will find it somewhere. Ma. is not only famous for the ride of Paul Revere, Johnny Appleseed, and the notorious Kennedys, and it's stupid government but for all it's anger in the people who form gang and kill each other fro kicks and grudges. It is a pretty state as you go inland and towards N.Y. In Northfield (I think that is the city) about almost to the N.Y.line it
is a gay city and college town. Spent three days and nights out there at a fair they have every year.Seminars
on sex and every year they have a fair. It is a blast.
I ended up the star attraction at one seminar as I put myself into a trance and went withthe flow, acheived
my task but I was the last one of the group to come out of it. They were all sitting around watching me for a 1/2 hour until I woke up from my trance and began too
come back to my normal self. Boy was I embarrassed !
Well enough of all that. I got a copy of the 49th Parallel when I left the Fleet Pavilion this past July.
So glad you can retain that lovely voice of yours with all your travels thru foreign countries. You must have a ball going thru customs with all your "stuff". When I went to just Indiana I got by with my key chain (which was full of keys and a toenail cutter) but on the way back theyfound a pkg. of unopened set of fingernail sissors and took them from me. Never been opened. Thank God Liz was nearby as she said "I'll take those." And they missed my prize possesion a metal rat tail comb made of metal that I have had for 40 years now. I bought them in Miami when I lived down there and forgot they were resing at the bottom of my big purse. I have a pair but only had that one with me and had forgotten to take it out. Was I ever thrilled when I discovered them when I went to comb my hair in Boston.
You must be well managed by your assistant to be able to board and not have to worry. Well this is just a note to wish you luck in Europe and wherever your going. I know your going to end up bac her sometime but my printer broke on me and I can't print without a printer and ink. INK ...Damn it's expensive. Hope you got in touch with Steve Martin at the Center of the Capital Arts to get booked. The crowd would follow you from Boston and I would probably have to get someone to drive me at night as I suffer with night blindness and
don't take the chance on night driving( with my old junk)Remember it is "smartin@ccanh.com" for your agent to get into N<H< Concord Theatre. Give him a break on the price and I know he will have you. It's a newly decorated theatre. You can discuss with him how many it hholds but from the looks I"d say maybe over1,000
and it is resful up there. Not the hub bub of Boston.
and airplanes flying over every 15 minutes to drown you out. I really got a kick out of you beating out the planes in Boston. Maybe that will cure you of the fleet pavillion. I do so hate that place. But you've played them all, and performed as if they were a palace.
My very Best to you and Congratulations. Hope you have the little pink rose packed away somwhere safe. Think about you every day and wonder what your doing? Still following the horoscope. WE are different and mine rings true to form, yous, I bet is right on target.
Must check my mail as I had started out to do. My very Best to you. Luv.....Rainbow(me)

breaker. Look at her tour schedule, going all through
Europe and Australia. Dude, what a vacation. Way to go!

[587] Rainbows Posted by:Phyllis McCarthy Date:09/27/2004, Mon 23:29:50

Dear webmaster,
What happened to all those complainers that were listed ( about5 of them) and their complaints about me and the Rainbows. There I go and take up a lot of k.d.'s message board in answering them and now I can't find but only two. There were at lease 5 almost right in a row. I wasn't going to bother with them , but got the urge a day or so ago and used up a lot of k.d.'s space. I am truly sorry. It's the writer in me I guess.
Like when I was supposed to write a review for the local newspaper, I was thrilled by her show in Boston and the way she put it on but absolutly disappointed in her wardrobe. It was goolish and I hope she's gone back to here Ms. Chaterlaine, Western skirts or I like the most her drag pin strip suit. He marvelous fits them all. Tell her to throw in some Western songs again. She was good at those , no matter what Nashville thought. I love her Western songs and people I have talked to also LOVE them. Why the hell should she care. She is "k.d" Lang. I wouldn't stop singing songs just because of Nashville. To hell with one little state. She goes all over the world...and I envy her for I love to travel tho she must go at a hectic schedule and work round the clock. I admire her for her grinding schedule and how she keeps up is beyond me
But as I remeber back I was moving to Miami and flying. Back and forth , it's just that age takes it's toll at times. Hate it. Just tell "k.d." for me
that she'll never lose that wonderful voice of her. It soothes and excites me everytime I hear her sing. She is the greatest since Pasty Cline. She was once a very dear favorite of mine, Glad feel she is the reincarnation as I do believe she is...and full of surprises with her voice. When she immitated a mans voice in Boston I couldn't believe it was her singing.
VERY IMPRESSIVE .Give her my love and kind thoughts.

Hi ,

I am the producer and presenter of the radio program Its Country Time and correspondent for the French Association of Country Music ( FACM www.facm.fr.st ) . It is a weekly 2 hours program devoted exclusively to country music (New Country, Country Classic, Bluegrass, Cajun) and broadcasted on Radio Florival station in the south of Alsace (France) and also through internet. Regarding the internet, some information are regularly broadcasted on the Country France web site, on the French Association of Country Music web site and on the Country Music Magazine ( Belgian).

As our program is getting more and more famous and as the number of listeners is increasing from one week to another, I am convinced that broadcasting your music would be very interesting and valuable for you ( free advertising and increase of sales to France and more). For this purpose, could you please send to me the Compact Disc As soon as I receive it , I will integrate it to my play list in order to broadcast it regularly on our station.

Thank you very much and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks for your time.

[585] Rainbows Posted by:Phyllis McCarthy Date:09/26/2004, Sun 09:10:02

Dear all of you lesbians , baby dykes, dykes, gay, queers, and gay peopleout there who didn't understand why I chose the word Rainbow. Well you didn't asee it all as it is SingRainbow, I couldn't get Rainbow to put on display for a caling card. It would have hads to be Rainbow 2 ..I didn't like that and often wonder who is Rainbow#1 (k.d.) Anyway you look at it I think of it as a delicate way to put in that your gay without coming out with it and ruining all possibilities of fame. "k.d." was the lucky one when she came out and we all loved her so much to begin with, but I have a friend out in Hollywood that made the whole tour of US in a big named play, I saw it in Ohio and Providence R.I. But he hit every state and he has a voice that will never quit. He can sing a very high c but only did it to win over the teen agers at the voting of the very FIRST STAR SEARCH. I knew then that he was a winner but he went on for weeks pitted up against one singer after another and beat them ALL with his HIGH voice at the end of the song "Somewhere over the Rainbow". Judy NEVER sang it that good and thanks to Patti Lavelle he put it in and sang it as he felt it.
And man did he ever do a job on that number. It is his best.He became a star overnight bigger than Clay Aiken
But after meeting him backstage and receiving the biggest, strongest hug I had or ever will in my life I noticed his assistant who had been with him about 2 years then (It was 96 ) was really getting mad at all the hugging we were doiong and seemed to be turning a bright red, blue, then a black and red rage came over his face, so I decided to ask my star friend if he had received my tape letter I used to send him about 2 or 3 times a week. He said "NO he hadn't got any mail from me in about three weeks and wondered why." Then he asked his assistant to go get the letters(cassetts) in which he answered "OH There out in the truck in some boxes, I forgot to give then to you. My friend was furious with him and ignored him for the next 1/2 hour. That was in Ohio, then in about four weeks he showed up in Providence R. I. I once again went backstage to see him
and his "assistant" couldn't have been nicer to me.He
bent over backward to be nice to me and even took pictures of Sam and I as he held me close and cheek to cheek. ( He had written me a letter when he was going to be in Ohio but after four weeks he showed up in Providence R.I.) Had I known before I wouldn't have gone to OHIO. Wouls have waited but did want to see if I hads made it into the Cleavland Hall of Fame doing a promo for "k.d." I was surprised to be chosen out of all the millions of fans had at that time but thrilled to do it as two girls had invited me to Paris France in
an all expense paid for vacation thru the Tanksgiving Holidays. I spent two weeks over there. What fun!!!
Over there they used the expression Rainbow quite freely
and even bought me a set of Rainbow rings that you wear on a chain around your neck with the six colors. Each ring a different color. I still wear the rings around my neck along with a pink triangle/ I come from a very small town where everyone knows everyone and everyone likes me as I serve in a political party and have very influential friends. Many people have come up to me and asked about the rings and I tell them it is the sign of the Rainbow as some have children with them and
it was a gift from two girls I went to visit in France.
I did have a wonderful time, and do love to travel.
My car is rolling with bumper stickers and rainbow flags and rainbow stickers. Not all the pages of bumper stickers are excluded to the Rainbows, but you can get a kick out of some of them, especially "Unmarked Police Car" and of course "Celebrate diversity" I just put one on today that said " Come the Rapture"- can I have your car.Now you might just want to know the phone number so as to get some free catalogs of all they have and learn about Rainbows. It is 1-800-258-8579 and just tell them Rainbow from MA. gave you their number. They've been in business 25 years now. But back to sam for a minute.
When he came out he just went to Genre magazine in'99 &
told them about his lover of five years and he thought he would come out. He was so cute and pretty, handsome
I should say but was a darling at 22. Same age as k.d.,
but he had aged a little bit and I guewss the public didn't like to know about it as they were thrilled over k.d. and she brought me out so I didn't care anymore
what people had to say about me. She gave me the guts to come out for if she could do it then I could too as who was I? Just a talent agent(former)That gal has influenced my life more than she knows. Sam is quite washed up but if you go onto e-bay or Amazon get the original Mowtown SERIES that came out in 86 not a new bootleg one with many other stars on it and on the oriinal Sam sings every song. #10 is JudyGarlands'SOTR.
in which he does an unheard of version. So goodbye to all you Rainbows, sorry I take up so much of k.d.space but thought you ought to be straightened out a little.
My BEST to you all and keep k.d. HAPPY.Rainbow...

[584] again, Brussels calling Posted by:maniak1961 Date:09/25/2004, Sat 18:33:15

Although i know the chance kd reading these messages is next to none, i dare suggest that she sings this 'Patch of Heaven' song in Brussels.
I mean, she HAS to as a kind of punishment because we can not yet buy 'Hymns' here in Belgium yet...
BUT... i did already buy tickets for the concert on the 11th of november 2004 - imagine : one of the biggest voices of the world coming to perform at just 100 km from my frontdoor...
Looking forward to it!

Looking forward to the kd concert on the 11th of november in Brussels, i'm surfing the internet to catch some of the 'Hymns' tracks, since the cd is not yet released here in Belgium.
I was happily surprised to see kd performing 'Patch of Heaven' for the Disney movie 'Home on the Range'.
Look for it yourself at http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1808406138&cf=trailer - scroll down a bit and find the trailer 'voices'.
If you like kd 'up tempo' ( like i do ) you will sure like it!
Sure the concert in november will be GREAT!!!

Dear "k.d"I doubt that I'll be out in Indiana OCT 2. I think that is the last my printer printed out. Can't afford to buy more color and black and white cartridges for it. It just isn't working right, what can I expect. Nothing goes right for me. Not even my horoscopes.I like yours tho. God give you the stamina to keep up the pace. It must be grueling. Did you take this month off or last for a rest. You realy should take better care of yourself, but I know your driven ans I love that in you, plus of cource your vivacious, expressive voice. That is the ABSOLUTE. Would tou try to get to Concord N>H> for the Capitol Center for the Arts. It's a newly decorated theater and they are starting their grand opening. I received their flyer frm a friend of mine the production mgr. named Steve Martin@ccanh.com/
I don't know who your agent is but if you have time please aske Steve what he's got for an opening for you.
I think you'll like the theatre, and Steeve is very nice
maybe he knows of a way to get a hold of you but I don't. My computer man put this address in for me and I can't find you anywhere eles on the board. "NO RESULT"
and I"m tired of hearing or seeing that. So Bye Bye for now . Wish you could type me a "Hello" anyway!

I'm so sad that I can't Cry
You've gone to the angels
You're never coming back,
And yet my eyes aren't crying,
There are no tears, but I'm so sad.

I can feel my heart breaking
I'm overwhelmed with grief,
The loneliness just grips me,
And there is no relief.

chorus You've gone to the angles, etc

I can feel my heart breaking
I'm overwhelmed with grief
The loneliness just grips me,
And there is no relief.
chorus
there's nothing to fill the emptiness,
As I walk from room to room,
The aura of you lingers,
In what was once our happy home.
chorus
Perhaps someday I'll cry again,
Someday when the pain subsides,
Then when tears mend my broken heart,
I'll find relief when I cry.
Chorus

Can you do anything with this song? I'm not good at writing music Thank you, Everdina Stuparyk I live in Edmonton Alberta Phone # 7804728789

The last time the man fixed it for me he sid "If it isn't broke, don't try to fix it" Now that doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense to me. When it tells me my disk driver is damaged I try to find out but only mess it up more. So I've given up and can't afford the cartridges anyhow..so no more printing of where you are. Drop me an e- mail when you get back in the states. I"d like you to stop off at the Capitol Center for the ARTS and speak to a Steve Martin about booking you. [568] Oct2/04 Posted by:Pink Rose Date:09/10/2004, Fri 20:30:24

Timing is everything. Have been invited to Indiana with my "friend" for the month of Oct.Can leave here and arrive in Minneappolis on the 30th, but what to do with my little 13 yr. old "k.d." I can't leave her for a month and her travel box is a little to big to go under the seat. She is 15 lbs. and hard for me to handle with all my baggage. She is ols and has fatty lumps and not tooo peppy but I just can't thinkof haveing her put to sleep. Tho I am sure she would feel better than she does, but it isn't in my heart and I can't. Can't afford to board her and can't affod to have a pet sitter visit three times a day to my home where she would be fine. What to do.???/YOU are in Ft.Wayne on Oct 2nd and we could manage to drive up and see you and then you could meet "liz". Boston wasn't enough fix for me. The singing and performance was delicious but I did want to see you for the interview.I didn't try as you seemed too upset. You got my review>>>If it streatced thru. I told it like I saw it.Did not mean to offend you with the outfit but it threw me.So glad you mentioned John E. as I got the message and was thrilled.
Got a hell of a kick out of the planes flying over and was thrilled when you drowned them out on that last one.
Maybe that will sour you on the Fleet Pavillion, and look elsewhere( like in Fitchburg,Ma. at the Wallace Civic Center. Maybe next year. I want to see and hear you one more timeand when Liz called me she didn't know and neither did I. I fouind it on the internet yesterday

and thought divine intervention or Karma. The only thing that is blocking us is finances for plane my transportation to and from Boston. She and her daughter will pick me up at Indianapolis. I travel handicapped. The wheelchair helps a lot/I wouldn't dare order the tickets as i never get the first or second row "except in Foxwoods when you sang to me. Couls you intrvene in anyway.? You know my finances and even thoLiz put on a flea sale sheonly took in $200 and that she spent on the little dog she bought for me to be spayed and shots. It's nameis "ki Ki" Sort of like "K>D>". I couls change it as it is so young and it does have the K sound. But you might not like that. I would have to pay my bills in advance thru Oct.About $700 worth then the ticketsfor plane and transportation and to your show. Oh my God. It is impossible. As I sit here and rationalize it it just can't be. I swear if I had a good car I would drive myself out there. It would take about 6 hours or if the roads are good and hwy I could do it in 5 hours as I have a heavy foot and never see stop signs, and have been known to "slide" thru red stop signs. I am a crazy driver but never had an accident. God is my co-piolet.I do hope this letter isn't printed and turned over right to you. I"d rather it not be out there for all the world to see. But be prepared to save two front row seats at Ft.Wayne as I"ll die trying to get there. As you could see I am a big boned gal also and 5'7 3/4" The bigger you get the better i like it. So strong and manly. P{lease think about it. I am here and your( I don't know) And my printer doesn't work as I am out of ink and can't afford the cartridges. I'm just a looser who's trying so hard but keep getting pushed down.Do pry we can all get together. She is a Texan by nature, very down to earth. I am a little more discreet and reserved but a happy go lucky sagattarius Love adventure and spontaneous and driven till I drop. Pray I see you at last and hear you sing "crazy". Luv from Patsy and me

Dear k.d.
I am so moved by your "hymns of the 49th parallel" You honour the songwriters (including yourself) with your spare loving performance of their songs. They are treated as "hymns", with reverence. You obviously care about the contents of the songs some of which you personalize such as Jane Siberry's "Love is Everything". Thank you.

[566] pink rose Posted by:Magda Date:09/10/2004, Fri 00:34:20

Dear k.d.,
PLEASE trry and make a comeback to country music. It wasn't as popular when you did it the first time as it is now. You could do a WODEFUL Patsy Cline. Walkin after midnight and Crazy are my two favorites. I can remeber listening to her over and over. I thought she was the greatest country singer of her time. Just for kicks give country music another chance and dress in you country boots etc and go to it gal. You've got it in you and I do believe you are her reincarnation. I bet she'd be sitting right beside you as you recorded her songs, prompting you. Listen carefdully,as she will be with you and be very flattered that somone remembered her as we do and so many others. I have had many people tell me you would sound terriffic in a "Tribute to Patsy Cline" Would love to have another video of you. I only have two of harvest, I gave away three, and will not part with the other two. I have salmon berries ( Wow!) Live in Sydney, and Live by Request. All vcr. I have a new tv but it holds everything and I'v e never played a DVD on it. Too scared. It might not comeout as well as the vcr.At least on them I know what I'm doing..As I type I play your Live by requestand Right now they are playing "Constant Craving" What a coincidence. Takes me right back to Ct. and Foxwoods. Wouls be thrilled to get a new video of you with your updates as you've come along in your career. When I went to NY for you and Efram they never gave me a copy of the tape or any pictures. They kept me behind the camera an hour and took hundreds of snapshots. Then at the end they cut me down to $50 for the session as I was promised $100. but I agreed as they said they would semd me the tape and some pictures. I got nothing, then they moved to texas , I believe. Were you watching me from the other side of that one way window. I couldn't see out but felt your presence the most ever. Then the plane ride.
It all seems to fit.I call it psychic as I'm into that and read your horoscope everyday.Trying to understnad astrology but it gets too complicated for me...and I don't have your e-mail to enter. All the other information tho. Still have old copies of your photo books and Obvious gossip. I think I have everythinmg from day one of my life/or pretty close. Pardon me for saying but I don't care for Two Cigaretts in an ashtray. I am trying to quite smoking and don't like the mention of cigs. I then want one.Sorry but you sing it so beautifully who can help but like it. I love it when you come in with a new song and do hope you can rearrange your performance and not that black skirt. UGH! I call it your shroud costume. Liven yourself up and I think you'll feel better. Do some of those numbers you wanted to try and give country another chance. Nashville doesn't know what they are missing.Dress country and do country with all your heart. I KNOW you can. Bless you and love ya! Thanks!
If you come across any of those "Collossal Hall of Fame Tapes" send it on to me. It would be greatly appreciated
as I feel they ripped me off $50.But I was thrilled to be chosen among the million of fans you had, but was disappointed when I went out to the hall of fame andno one knew you were there. Went downstairs and saw you run across the board with your guitar and a strret gal came on an said" Boy she's awesome" That was it. Very disappointed....after all the effort i had put into it and my story dedicated to you of "What is Love" Well I've taken up enough space. You must be TIRED of travelling. You've made quite a tour for yourself.
With miles of Rainbows wherever you are...Me

I, being a femme lesbian, DO believe in God and most of his teachings. It is very hard for me to follow the Immaculate Conception tho and I do believe God was a man with human desires and have read extesively on he and Mary Magdalene. We're they lovers after all or married secretly. No one knows... Were they.? But I feel in extremely close harmony with Mary Magdalene.

Isn't there enough hatred in this world to find without picking on poor, innocent, in a turmoil, and unsuspecting of all yopu stupid people, they are crazy if they let her see your mail, I hope not. You sound like a bunch of terrorrists trying to rape "k.d." over the coals. I never thought I"d be a lesbian but I am and VERY proud of it My car is my stamp of approval and I am well respected in my community. I do volunteer work for the gov and in very good standing with the local police. The world is in an uproar right now and I fear for many years to come as ther will always be breed people like you who threaten and dislike a person they don't even know. What if she were black or purple. Would you like her any more or less.? Or had a beard like Saddam.? Bet you adore him??DON'T you? Please try a little kindness if it is in your heart (which I think not)and see how that makes you feel. personally don't think your capable. You are the terriorrists of the future and present to pick on someone you don't even know or know what sex is really about. It is is deep dark feeling that two people express togther no matter what the gender. Put that in your kerchief and turn it into a dove. In Christ!!

Peter,

I would really suggest you listen to Invincible Summer before you go to the concert if you can, it is quite different to the 2 you mentioned, and my favourite album - quite chirpy infact.

hope you have a great time, you and your bear friend x

[540] I hatepeople like you Posted by:susan knowles Date:08/07/2004, Sat 11:14:33

I HATE PEOPLE LIKE YOU , YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO COUNTRY MUSIC . YOU SHOULD DO THE RIGHT THING AND GO AWAY. COUTRY MUSIC IS FOR HONORABLE PEOPLE LIKE PEOPLE THAT ARE MARRIED AND BELIEVE IN THE TEN COMANDMENTS. ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN. NOT TWO WEMEN OR TWO MEN.

[Return message to 540] Re: I hatepeople like you Posted by:gill Date:08/07/2004, Sat 20:01:11

what a hateful heart you have. suppose you call yourself 'christian'? k.d is a beautiful, smart, intelligent, person,- how dare you criticize people just because they are different to you.

[Return message to 540] Re: I hatepeople like you Posted by:sandra Date:08/18/2004, Wed 20:29:49

Why is it fault to be in love with somebody of the same sex.. WHY???? its not fault... its just normal.. you can't Judge K.D.LANG about that... she's a very smart, beautiful and sweet person.. she is an EXAMPLE for a lot of GIRLS... So shut up about K.D.LANG!!!! You're Just a pathetic Loser!!!...

K.D.LANG.. Just GOING UP!!!!!!

[Return message to 540] Re: I hatepeople like you Posted by:Zinzy Date:08/18/2004, Wed 20:36:23

That's right Gill! Susan, I can't believe you even spend time on the internet cursing to k.d. like that! k.d. is one of the most beautiful, funniest, most creative women in the world! Did she do you any harm?!
I bet you're just a lazy piece of sh*t with no job, spending all time on the computer being annoying... You're a SHAME for the christian community! I feel sorry for all the people who ARE true christians!!!

I can tell you one thing: WE hate people like YOU!!!
YOU are a disgrace to all the people who do love county music!
Different styles in music are formed BY people and their music, not by things said about the music! You should listen a little better to what k.d. has to say!

And don't try to hide, we'll find you!
WE HATE YOU!!!

P.S.: PLEASE, for the love of your own God, GO BACK TO SCHOOL and do something about your spelling!

[Return message to 540] Re: I hatepeople like you Posted by:Zinzy Date:08/18/2004, Wed 20:42:03

Yeah SUSAN! My sister Sandra is completely right! I think God didn't forbid to love someone of your own gender. I think that's not what he was trying to say.
Don't you think he'd be much more of a happy person if people were in love, not depending on who, where, when and why?

Pff, you're too ridiculous to even spend time on...

I'm a homesexual and I'm damn proud of it!

My girlfriend and I are horseback riders and love the song "Pullin Back The Reins" I promised I would learn to play the song on my guitar but cannot find the sheet music for it. I searched all the popular sites. Please help me to find this music. We want to play this song while we go camping trips on horseback.

Please reply,

Thanks

[553] music?? Posted by:Magda Mc Date:08/24/2004, Tue 11:11:56

I am so enthralled by "k.d" music I think I have expressesed myself from time to time. Lenny, I didn't know you were Lesbian. Glad you mentioned it. I wrote you back but notice the numbers after your last( i mean the next to last) where you asked about Rainbow and Magda? or was it Phyllis. Well, Anyhow I wrote a letter of apology and the number skip after your entry to me.
Please don't go to anothjer site. I don't think there is one. I cry , I laugh and I love k.d. singing. How on earth you missed that I'll never know. That's what drew me to her 20 years ago.And when she had the guts to come out, so did I. I figured if a star like she could announce it to the world what difference did it make to me if I came out, tho I come from a small town no one says a word to me. All people treat me with RESPECT. And I'm no young chicken like you, but can remember every day of my life when I was 29. I only wish I had had been blessed with the talent k.d. has.
She is totally amazing and I did a promo for her about 10 years ago in N.Y.C. and do believe she rode back on the plane with me beside her. She tried to disguise herself but I couldn't even speak. I thought the promo had given me "k.d.itis" but the seating was rearranged for me to sit next to her and when the plane took a dive the stewardess got up to help her and when she sat back down she tried to whisper to the other stewardess" SHE DOES'NT RECOGNIZE HER."and they were looking at k.d. and myself. My mouth turned to cotten candy then and I COULDN't speak if I had tried. She sings right from her HEART, I feel/and does it like no other singer I've ever heard except Patsy Cline ( whom "k.d." adores
So calm down if you can't find my "peace "letter to you. It might be in the archives.Take a look. Thanks ever so much "k.d. for the use of your site..XX

K.D. is coming to Utrecht (The Netherlands) I'm looking forward to see her perform real live on stage not on t.v. or dvd bur right in front of my nose.
I found this side just by looking for K.D. Lang things. I read a lot of messages and a lot of them ere very silly, who cares if someone is gay or not. I'm gay, I got married three years ago with my girlfriend and nowone around us seemed to bother.Who cares what socalled Christian people think about you! The only thing that's important is you happiness. And right now K.D. Lang is coming to Utrecht, Ive got tickets and i't makes me happy!

[549] New Album Posted by:Vinca Date:08/23/2004, Mon 16:19:20

[548] Untitled Posted by:lanny from the UK Date:08/20/2004, Fri 23:17:29

Right, I am going to try and clear a few things up. I am 29 year old lesbian, in a very happy 8 year relationship. I simply accessed this website to offer praise on kd lang's album invincible summer, as a fan of her music.
My previous message of 'what is wrong with Phyllis and Rainbow', quite literally meant what is wrong with these 2 people, they are obviously obsessed with this website, because of the extensive messages, that have nothing to do with kd's music.
I shouldn't have to be a lesbian to access this site, the name of it is kd lang's website, NOT kd lang's website for lesbian's only.....
I am fully aware of the rainbow, it is a pattern in ths sky caused after rainfall, the rainbow FLAG on the other hand is a symbol of Gay,Lesbian and bisexual freedom.
I will not be accessing this website anymore, I will infact use the genuine one. I didn't want this to happen, I simply wanted to congratulate kd on her fantastic music.
bye

Why do you mention Rainbow. Don't you even know wqhat that stands for. You sound like a gay guy, not Lesbian

Hi k.d.
Where are you? I can't seem to find any tours, Are you in Europe or Austraila the UK.or WHERE? Or are you taking a WELL EARNED REST. Your on your way to the 50's and then the years fly by. It's amazing. I can remember at 40 what I was doing and wearing a bikini at that age. I wore that, the first in Miami, until I was 44 then my weight started changing. As you well know by now. Being a vegitarian I don't see how you can gain, as I am on veg and fruits. and I"m not loosing. Going to my specialist in the next month to get me all checked out. like a tune up HA! Wish to hell I had tried to comebackstage to see you in Boston for my "review" but think I covered it all on my letter to you. Called it like I saw it. Couldn't put that in the paper. Oh! In my subject matter I wrote to you can't roll back. What I meant is that after I send you a message my computer won't roll back so I can see what other have written you. I have been fooling around with this thing and I must have messed up somewhere, but hell I am a she devil when it comes to computers. Your a "she devil" just the way you are. Following your horoscope daily. When it says you are about to embark on an unexpected trip I walways think maybe she's coming to see me. Oh yeah, Wishful thinking.. BB for now

[545] Lost myself Posted by:P. Magda Date:08/15/2004, Sun 00:47:03

I pushed a button for my mail to appear and look where I landed. How are you and WHERE are you. Expect to see you on "Ellen" show anyday. I watch and watch but no k.d. Thought you two were friends. What is she waiting for. Please wear you pin striped suit that you are so famous for. Not that "goolish " outfit you wore in Boston. I had told my friend how you would come out and was so dissappointed by that long skirt.I said to him all within ten minutes " that's not the way she dresses and She isn't herself at all, she looks worried to death and fixed my eyes on the Big screen in front of me as I couldn't see you anyhow. You only once came over to stage left. You hung onto that mike on the right hand side as if you were glued to it. I got a Big kick out of your expression as the first plane flew over, then the second yousang almost thru it and the third time you really gave it ALL That made me VERY HAPPY. Stomp out Bush HA! I like Kelly. He'll make it of that I am sure. I wondered if you were up my way when you spent so much time in Boston and P.Town. As one day a red , snazzy car pulled into my driveway real quick ands the backed out real fast and sped off. I couls make out two females in it and hasd a funny feeling it might be you on your way uo to Fitchburg to check out The "Wallace Center" and were running aroundRt.2 and 2-A and up to the Wallace center. Wish you had stopped in. My house is all cluttered with paper and notes I've taken from the computer but my refrigerator always has fruit juices in it to cool down. It was hot that day and never saw a car pull in and away so fast. I wondered why. Could it of been you? Next time stop and visit. Are you still touring in the Netherlands. I can't find any where on the computer where you are. Until we meet again, Practice "CRAZY"
I am sure Patsy would be delighted and so would I. B>B>

[543] CD Posted by:Phyllis McCarthy Date:08/11/2004, Wed 04:24:03

When are you going to make a CD all of Patsy Cline's songs. I thought over a year ago one a Tribute to Patsy Cline was on the market but have never found it.
DID you ever make it?, as my daughter and I spent the weekend up at her apt..playing CD's of you and Patsy.
Then weplayed videos of you that I had. She loved the "Live by Request and laufged over your reaction to the wig being tossed around and your reaction to it. It was kinda funny.Had a nice time with her. She's in a wheel chair now , so that makes three of my four girls invalids. I'll be next if I would stop trying to carry heavy things and try getting up to a fourth floor as I was tired of carried all my junk and as she was unlocking her door I stood there holding the bags and suitcase instead of setting them down for a minute, and took one step and fell flat on my face and injured my one good eye. Broke my glasses and a piece of the metal made a little hole in my temple that I did't know it was bleeding until she yeld at me YOUR BLEEDING. My eye swoll up like and big black egg. but I was so knocked out by it that I didn't go to the hospital until the next morning. I had kept off of seeing the eye Dr. for I did,t have the money. Now it's got to come from somewhere, on top of the scam of the $3,055 from Canada. That's on my credit card. I'm paying for nothing but being stupid. I knew better but was all excited at the thought of my getting $89,000 . When will I ever learn. I think I have after paying back the $3,055 I sent for nothing but a scam. I don't know how they did it. It went to Canada and it was in my daughters name. He told me I could put it in anyones name so they couldn't get it until I told them. But that's the scam they can get it and even the Canadian police didn't know how they did it. I asked them ."did you ever think that a Western Union office was in on it
and was getting paid off/" They said they hadn't thought of that. Your Canadian Police force is stupid like I was for thinking he was honest. I hpe a lot of people read this and beware of Phone calls that they have a check waiting for them at their office in Canada.
They are well versed and ready to feed you a line as it took him 2 hours for the first call to convince me, and a little voice inside me ket saying "NO Don't do it" ButI being a sagattarius was driven. See ya ! Say Hi to Ellen from me. BB With Rainbows Phyllis

[539] to Lenny Posted by:Magdalene Date:08/05/2004, Thu 14:57:30

First of all k.d. you seem to be good at the methods you use to get people to know one another....Like the JohnEdward beginning bit that you slipped in in Boston. Really appreciated that and thought you ought to add it to your show. Have you learned "Crazy " yet???
Love that Patsy Clines song. Also thank you for letting me get in touch with Lenny from the uk. Hope he takes this opportunity to take my screen name from this and writes directly to me, then we wont be bothering your page. I am very outspoken ,

as you know, and I have friends who still write to me from England from Obvious Gossip days and I don't beleive I got off to a very great start with Lenny as he said...something to the effect of "What's this with Phyllis & Rainbow" I do not like lowereing my standards either so I wave the PEACE flag and gay flag over us both and hope he write directly to me. I have a gay guy frien in Italy. He is very talented but no computer. We either telephone each other or I take out my cassett and talk to him. I have 3 DVD's he made up for me with his act and about 40 cassetts. It would be a much better world if the gay guys would be friends with the gay girls as we want to be heard in this world as one unit, not two divided, Right. Frienship Only.
That I find is what I call unity ....Hello Lenny!

Didn't realise you had to be a lesbian to appreciate kd's music.

Is this not a fan's website ??

My comments obviously offended you, which was not my intention, but I am not prepared to explain my actions. I simply visited this site as a fan and not to get into some cross-continental battle, and will not lower myself to fire insults back at you.

Good bye we usually use to end a conversation.

Too pooped to pop. I guess it wasn't meant to be, but am going to call her daughter tonight and see if she's going to see you...She's crazy over Ellen and I"m wound up on you as you could teach Ellen to sing and she could teach you where and how to dance......Where can I get your tour to the Netherlands and see where you are.Liked the John Edward bit hope you keep it in the show. It gets people to meet on another besides an intro to Patsy. Nice touch!! Unusual but think it would go over big .lol bye

[533] concert in the netherlands Posted by:barbara Date:07/22/2004, Thu 22:48:13

Hi Webmaster and K.D.
Perhaps a strange request, but I just wonder if it is possible to ask my lovely girl (during your performance) in Utrecht the 10th of November 2004 if she wants to say yes to a marriage proposal. We have met 10 years ago and it is time that I ask her the proper way. I hope with all my heart that this message reach miss Lang and that she knows that Gay & Lesbian marriages are no issue here in the Netherlands.
Therefor I do hope that it is possible that K.D. sees this message before......

Thanks and with all my heart,

Bar.

Dear Kathryn,
So glad you will be in the Netherlands next november and that you are still singing efor the right reasonsh Discovered you only 2 years ago, thanks to a new completely unexpected new love. In a way you are the witness of my second life as a matter of speaking. Your voice, full of variety, gave me goose skin and after seeing a reportage about your life and development of styles I noticed the possibilies you have in you. From 3 cigarettes, broken hearts (the landscape of my youth as well !), riding the rails (super !) and finally Tony Benett I am sure there is still much more to come. I am very curious in which direction you will develope yourself.

Warm regards from a dreamy adventurist behind the dykes of Lisse, Holland

If you people think k.d. is paying any attention to tis message board , your crazy. She has a mgr. that tells her who she can see and what she can read. I think she is like a prisioner in her own relm. Here she is queen and her sevants tell her what to do. I thought she had a mind of her own, but I guess not. I was lucky ONCE
and she sang directly to me but I couldn't get back stage to see her nor have I heard
from her since. My IDOL DAYS are fading. She's not the homespun gal we thought she was. Too bad. I liked her that way.

[519] kd lang GAp poster for sale Posted by:Jeanine Date:05/18/2004, Tue 09:39:26

Hi All kd Fans!!

I have a copy of the kd lang GAP duotone bus poster shot by Herb Ritts in 1990 and I am putting it up for sale. I am a huge fan of kd and have seen her many, many times, but as a returning student, I need the money! Since this is a VERY rare item and is ready for hanging (I will supply you with the custom cut plexiglass frame and brackets), I am asking for at least $500 for this JEM.

The poster is mounted on foam core and measures 68 1/4" L x 47 1/2" W. It has a sepia-toned matte finish and black lettering.

Please e-mail me at jeanine_troisi@yahoo.com if you are interested and include your phone number. I live in the New York metro area. Shipping charges in addition to list price, unless you are able to pick it up. Contact me and let's talk.

Thanks,
Jeanine

Dear k.d.
How come your tickets sell for $185. I can.t afford that, even for me alone. I guess I was just lucky atFoxwoods to get those two second row center. or Maybe??? How do I buy them thru your site(or links) I might be able to get a whole bus load to Boston P. I don't want to sit with then
m but hope they all get good seats. An e=mail I could send to themtelling then they would get good seat and I can show the manager of the tours and it might incite them. But I want 2 front row center for me. If I get a busload there are bound to be 50 people. Let me know

Tried to getr tickets from affiliates @Ticketsnow.com
but they didn't have any. I want them in my hot little hands...before it is too late. BYE BYE LOL Phyllis

I'm not your usual fan, nor anyones' especially. I'm a senior citizen and married for 48 years. We just got tickets today for your 6/10/04 concert in Portland, Oregon. At the funeral for Roy Oberson you sang one of his songs. It was without a doubt the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. Please do it in Portland. I enjoyed your comments on the Peggy Lee Biography.
Take care and ENJOY! We look forward to hearing you in the City of Roses.

Dear Webmaster or k.d.
So very sorry I wasted our paper and your site with a repitious statement( or I think two ) I had the thought in my mind that just MAYBE I had written about Sandy and her MS episode but was on a roll, as usual, and didn't stop to proof read what I had written before. I think there was another subject too but am not going back to see as I want to end this quickly. I am sorry but I live alone and to talk is my favorite thing so please excuse this young?lady from carrying on in such a manner. I won't write to k.d. again but shje by now knows what I want and need. No sesne in telling her over and over but I FEEL close to her for some reason or other( NO, Not LOVE) only deep affection, and much ADMIRATION. I am gay and can't help it.And almost her size so we have that in common. Goodybye for a while now and I wont write again unless you e-mail me to "GO AHEAD...WRITE" that all and thanks ever so much for listening. I'll go and watch TV now. I missed Ellen by this. But k.d. is more important to me. Bye now and hope to see you in July (the 9) LOL "Rainbow"

[502] Cohen Posted by:Phyllis M McCarthy Date:03/25/2004, Thu 00:58:18

Hi ya Sugar!
Yep it's me again. I can hear you saying, "What a pest" I just wanted to tell you that my LONG tome friend from Norwalk Ct. and who is also 75 and has cancer and had it for some time now loves you as much as all us older people do. I taked to her on the phone the other day and she said she'd like to hear you sing some songs by Cohen and the other guy around his era and
same style of music.I can't remeber all she said but tried to reach her by phone this AM at 8:30 and no answer. I am really worried about her as the last time I talked to her was the first week in March and she wasn't feeling to peppy and had an appt. with the Dr. I hope and pray she is alright. Things arn't too well in my family. My oldest daughter ( who is death against lesbians) and very religious and who has had M.S> for I think 40 years now and was able to stay at home with help was transferred to the Gilford House in Gilford Ct.
It is a convelesant home for incurable patients and as she has been falling down a lot transferring from the wheelchair to bed she was up on the bed and began to slide down off onto the floor about three weeks ago.As she landed on the floor she went into unconciousness for a 2 hour period as she had looked at the clock as she was slipping down. She woke up on the floo in a crumpled mess but her catheter and bag were all in place, no leaks. She asked me if I believed in angels and I said I sure do, and she fells that an angel came down and connected her cathether all up again as it should have torn loose from the fall. So noew she had to give up her apt. and her children threw out a lot and kept some things for themselves but emptied it, but she was allowed to transfere her Hospital bed she owned to the Gilford house. It is all electric and she needs it, to position herself. A small closet and two end tables is all she caN HAVE. THAT'S HER HOME UNTIL SHE DIES. Which I give her about 2 years. I'll still be here
I KNOW abd full of pain in my legs, as they are bothering me now. I slip A pillow under my knees for relief, but still in pain all day and take vicoden and vallium to relax me...plus all the other meds for my heart, ulcer, blood pressure and depression. When I get so I would have to give up my mobile home, I'll just put my "light out" I don't want to be a burdon to anyone
and I'll come back maybe as your dog or something. Ha!
Do you take your dog on tour with you? I should think it would be a little bit hard on you.But you have people to help you. I can hardly go to the store without taking Little "k.d." along...and she's 12 years old and getting gray. I have about 10 gray hairs at my temple and thats all. The natural is a shitty brown, that's why nice and easy makes me a blonde. But maybe going back to auburn-red hair or a little darker blonde.
I am going to check on tickets to your show at the Fleet Pavillion ( Prince is going to the Fleet CENTER soon). You'd do better there. It is in Central NO. Boston and easier to get to. What hold has the Pavillion got over you and Tony. No body goes there. Even Ellen. It's so far out and if it's raining it's hell to pay. I know./ I've been there to see tony in the RAIN. I and another older women were the last to leave with her son but I fell down on a bridge we had to crosss over and hurt myself. It was a mile before we were able to get to cover and then a half a mile to get a cab at a hotel. Those cabbies are highway robbers. I
always pretend that I know boston as I did work at Boston University when the Boston Strangler was on the loose. He even paid me a visit to my apt in Cambridge
At least that was wahat the police said it was and he was small and I was a big boned gal. Guess he didn't want to mess with me. I even heard hin leave when I called the police. So much for my epistal today. Got to watch Ellen on my TV. Let me know about the tickets to seeing you as I am going to order them in a
couple of days. I could bring my Dr. and his wife as I took them to see "The Producer" but no Sam. It was good tho and I have a vcr. of it. and got an old black and white one of the original. So Bye Bye for now sugar
and I hope we do get together the next time as it may be my last I can make it. My love to you, Phyllis

[501] tour Posted by:Phyllis McCarthy Date:03/20/2004, Sat 01:00:39

Hi Angel,
Hope the printed out version I have is right that you will be in Boston at the damn Fleet Pavillion ( how I hate that place to get to. And to get the last train back is hectic for me.) Why ? Oh Why ? not the Fleet CENTER. They must be associated. Cher was at the CENTER STING, and I can't remember all the others but you could make it there..especially if sting can. Do hope we do get together as I wont have much to write about if we don't meet during your break, but I'll probsbly be there early as the trains run from Fitchburg to Boston at odd hours. I thnk the last time I saw you over there was with Tony....and I had to leave on his last song to make the last train. Told you all that before. But please leave me a second row or first row pass center like you surprized me at Foxwoods in Ct. I am going to try to order my tickets on line that way I wont have to wait and wait. Unless I suddenly get one from you or two. I might like to bring the State Rep With me. It's a "He" but he's harmless and I'll get a ride and no rush for trains. He got elected last Dec. and I've been at all his parties and events he's had. His name is Jamie Eldridge and he work at the Bosotn State house. He's planning on building some homes in the Shirley area for low income and elderly people. On March 25th I am going to his city hall meeting as he says he wants my imput. At least somone does. No women in my life. Damnit!!! I can't find an older person like you. Big, tall, and could sing me to sleep. I've had e-mails and calls from Calif to Cape Cod but they are from 4'11" tall, can sing AND HAVE BEEN IN BROADWAY SHOWS, but I just didn't click as I am big boned and 5'8" tall. The state Rep. is 6'5" tall. That's a good stretch. Please let me know as soon as possible if you will be able to help me to get to see you and whoever my escourt will be. Try to get to hear your music as my $400 stereo is broken and it scratches every new CD I put on it. I can't afford a new one so just don't play it, and the top disk to program and play all disks in my computor is, and has been broen for over a year now. So I can't play it and can't burn songs into a blank disk. Did you ever receive the letter I sent to you thru your Mother about a year ago?
By the way, my oldest daughter who has had M.S . finally couldn't take care of herself anymore and kept falling off the bed ( She has an elec wheelchair) and about a couple of weeks ago she was going to bed and was arranging her catheter and she felt heself slipping and with no strength in her legs she slid right down on the floor and was unconcious for 2 hours before she woke up enough to ring her life line. I have one too, but I just can't run or bend my legs due to the two knee
implants. Oh the JOY of getting old. No wonder Tony stays at 75 and he's two years older than me. He told me that when he first started. I was 26 and he was 28..we were out to dinner with the band on night in Worcester, Mass. He was just a LOUNGE singer then. He's
even better now than he was then. I personally think. He's mellowed with age for the better and you can tell him I said so too. Nust go and watch Ellen. I wrote on her message board that I loved her in pin strip suites and I notice she's wearing them a lot now. She's so much fun. Would love to meet her too. So will say so long for now. Do you know of anyone who would like to buy an ivercare Pronto2 elec. Wheelchair.? Never been used. I bought it for one of my daughters that lives near me and the Dr. wants her mobile as long as she can be. He body is filled with arthritis and she is handicapped. I had four girls and three (deceased) husbands before I came out and realized I was a Lesbian and hated men and two I haven't mentioned is Irene who lives in Leesburg DC and works in the Navy Dept.in Washington, has been there35 years and is loosing her eyesight due to the work she did for 25 of those years(typing pool) to EXECUTIVE. I am very proud of her.She is big boned and tall. About 6'. She doesn't approve of me being gay (non of the do ) but the one who lives near meShe is a gay Handicapped.
I never had my Mother's support only hatred until the day she died. No support from anyone. I have a very talented one who is being taken over by arthritis and a disk that was removed from her spine. She is a Professional clown and magician. Can't do all the big thing she did when she was younger but the arthritis is limiting her to do smaller things than life size. He husband is dying from cancer and he too is in a wheelchair as he has a heart problem and I think Parkinsons disease. I am in pain almost constantly but the DR. thinks I'm "PRETTY SPECIAL" as I've gone on and on,and WANT to. I wont give in until it takes me or if I can't get around to places and do things, I'd end it all myself. No bother to anyone. They all have their troubles and I've had a very interesting life. I appreciate it all, and thank God every day for letting me WAKE UP each morning. Please get in touch with me
and let me know about July 9th. Thanks ever lol

[498] not much Posted by:Magdalene Date:03/14/2004, Sun 05:39:52

Hi k.d.
Just a notr to say hello and tell you I am thinking of you. When will your tickets be ready for the July 9th Fleet Pavillion. I want to be sure and get s front seat. Never wrote a review for a newspaper before. Hope you make it interesting for me to write about and it would be great if I had a pass waiting for me when I arrive. I will have to come in via No. Station and spend $10 taxi fare out there and $10 back to No Station. I hope I get to see the whole show as last time I wrote you I had to leave early to get bsck to No Station to catch the train. If you had appeared at the FLEET CENTER which is in N. Boston and not 8 miles away by the seashore. I would have time to see everything. Unless you want to pick me up at the N.Station and have me taken back there afterward. I live 45 minutes from Boston but it takes the train an hour and 20 minutes as it stops at every little town on the way up ( West) so my car is parked in the handicapped block next to the train stop and I just hurry off the train and into my car like a whiz as it's dark and a lonely spot. Great for a killing or mugging. But that is because I want to see you so badly. The last time when you appeared with Tony a woman next to me had a VIP ticket. I thijk I told you about it. I wondered if it was meant for me as she asked me what vip meant. I ALMOST asked her if I could use the ticket for a few minutes to see if it would let me in , and that is perhaps it was meant for me, but thought to myselfk.d. wouldn't make a mistake like that, but then on the other hand I wondered who gave it to her. TOO SILENT AGAIN! I won't be this time. Damnit. I never am, so why with you. You grew up like I did(almost) and I LOVED Patsy Cline like you and still have about 60 LP records from the 40's 50's and 60's. Antiques. Wish I could sell them. Somone told me I must have at least$!,000 worth, maybe more.
So I'll only drop by once a month to say hello. You have my # and address. I am all alone once again. Liz introduced me to a wealthy woman from Calif. who is only 4'11" tall. Money or not. I'd feel silly walking down the street with her.. In the "Golden Threads I mention I want a soft butch like k.d. lang. I am tall and want a tall woman. Wish I were 30 years younger.
They say age is just a number but I feel about it differently....no matter how much I like you.
lol Rainbow

[497] As Usual Posted by:Phyllis Magda McCarthy Date:03/10/2004, Wed 08:39:43

Dear k.d.
yes it's me again. Wilapr. to get tickete for your FLEET PAVILLION show. Wnat to be in front row center so I can see you and TAKE YOUR PICTURE. You wont send me one like you used to in the good old days. What is LA doing to you. You have an older woman out there who adores you. When you made "all you can eat" I hated that album AND TOLD HER SO. SHE NEVER CALLED ME AGAIN FOR OVER A YEAR. NOW WE ARE FRIENDS AGAIN. Only phone calls but she lives just outside of Sacramento. She misses your country singing, I've heard that from so many people who remember you. All my new hommakers that the StaTE PROVIDES ME WITH ARE SO YOUNG they ask me who you are? They know Della Reese and her three . angels that sent me all their pictures. Johnnie Mathies rings a bell in some of them. They don't even know about the first Star Search. My God am I gettting old. That seems like yesterday. Tony Bennett they know of but he's always being noticed. Here he is two years OLDER THAN I AND HE'S STILL 75 . The picture I want to send you I look even Better than at FOXWOODS
as I was in the beauty parlor when the beautitian took my picture. I look 65 or maybe could pass for 60 according to tonys calculations HA! Where are you? Laying back in Calif until April getting up steam, then
there is no reson why you can't call or drop me an e-mail. I'm finding out you can't trust women either. They will cheat just like a man and carry on if you don't watch out. I think I"ll dye all alone. I like being alone. TV never hurt me and I can talk back to a computer and telephones I can read them off as I'm not that bashful as I was on the plane? The one reason I did not say to you at the time,"Are you k.d." because I was afraid of rejection. And feeling like a fool. But after all that happened and when I hears the stewardess'
sat " She does't recognize her" and one was looking at you and the one who said it was looking at me. And they had changed my seat when I boarded. I feel so stupid for not speaking up.Hope you will see me in Boston and leac
ve me a vip card with the name Phyllis on it, so I can get to finally meet you face to face. I feel we'd get along great. How about you? NOT as lovers, but as friends......lol "Rainbow" Saw a flash of Sasm last night as he was interviewed by e.t. in N>Y> He was with Liza Minelli. The camera breesed by him, I hardly saw him but showered itself on Liza and she said they were there to show their support for Martha Stewart. Whar did she ever do decorate their houses or show Sam how to eat properly or Liza to eat less. Sam, nobody could teach him. He thinks he know's it all...but he knows who to kiss up to, but it was funny just to hear them say Sam harris and as I looked up the camera flashe right passed him onto her. I got a big kick out of that. They said nothing about him, only that she was accompanied by her friend Sam Harris. Give Ellen a hug for me and one from me to you. Just a big Hello
Will close for now lol: Yours, "Rainbow"
Unless you send me two passes for front row center let me know the minute I can buy one on line ,(I mean two

Are you working on a new CD or what?
Are you thinking or planning to marry your partner?
I hope so. [That would REALLY give Pres. Bush a "kick in the pants"!] Hope to hear about/from you soon.

[494] Constant Craving Posted by:P>M>McC Date:02/25/2004, Wed 08:42:57

Dear k.d.
Whar are you doing about Olivia tours. Are you going to be seen by anyone that can afford the boat but not take the cruise. I get seasick. Airsick NEVER!!! I don't know what to tell the golden threads about seeing you as they are going the last week in June ..so far..
Will be disappointed not in seeing you. I will be at the Fleet Pavillion. I might even have a press card to cover me as I might write up a review for our local newspaper. I've got to pay my own way tho as he's just letting me write for the paper.SOOOooooif you have an extra pass for the front row center save me two. I have made a new girlfriend who is an artist, poet and writer. If were together by then she will be with me. If I have to come by train I'll have to leave before the
last two songs as the last time I went way over there from NO. Station I left as Tony was singing his last song and had to run to make it, the trainman was yelling all aboard as I rushed up beside the creeping train. It's about a 5 mile trip from the Fleet Pavillion to No Station and the driver takes his time.
Last time I didn't have even a #1.00 for a tip. I would like to get your whole concert in and talk to you but the last train to Shirley is at11.00. I believe. It takes an hour @1/2. for the train to make it as it stops everywhere A car would make it in 45 min. Oh well it's early yet but the last time I bought a ticket I got it three months ahead of time. But you sure suprised me when I got those second row seats. I was way back 25 rows, way over to the rt. hand side. I was looking for you to come in the stage door and there you were standing by the piano. SURPRISE! You never cease to amaze me. Hope to hear from you or don't you get these letters?????? Dear k.d
Well I'm still here. No one else is bothering to write and wish you would answer me. Can't find any schedule of you doing any concerts. WHERE ARE YOU. You can't be that busy? or can you?????? I know now what it is like. But can't see moving to Indiana, and not sure of financial status. I am just surviving by myself and my dog (k.d.)She is 12 years old and a little daschound. Lovable as all hell. Sleeps with me also. Liz has a poodle named Cleo. So we both love dogs, and staying in bed. MMMMmmmmmm! She is a soft butch and spoils me to death. But am afraid to move as she wants a home in her name also. Tho I'd be paying the initial payment ( if I sell my mobile home. I am afraid to...as I feel reasonably safe here and would be putting everything at risk if I moved. She doesn't talk to much about her past and I've caught her in one fib about an old girlfriend....the location and who it was. Her still dearest friend and also soft butch. I've met her. I never thought two butches ever fell for each other. I am strickly femme as you observed and if I could send you my photo you would see. I dress in turtle necks most of the time and always female slacks, but love the way you dress. It suits you..Well you saw me at Foxland. Fogot the Western hat but had the black and white blouse on and black slacks....Met your band after the show but think I told you that in earlier letter. When do you ever reads your mail?????Please don't slide out of site. Make some appearancesat gay places like the Golden Threads. goldenthreads@earthlink.net or http://www.home.earthlink.net/~goldengurl/ Mary Davidson is in charge and the former who paid for my membership in 2002 was Joy. They have outings at Provincetown (P town) evey July. Maybe you will be there this year. Thats when your due for Olivia tours from P Town. Oh well here I go repeating the same ole thing. All I need to perk me up is a surprise.
Please don't give up. I told Ellen to give you dancing lessons in exchange for sing lessons to her. I get a kick out of her dancing in the beginning of her show. It makes it so cute and funny.....So must close for now. Keep on plugging and get some new material....or a video to finishoff the Harvest of Seven. Pick it up at the end and bring us up to date...To hell with Sam Harris. He is a flop and got just what was coming to him. lol SingRainbow@AOL.com (aka)DivaRainbow2@aol. THOSE ARE MY TWO SCREEN NAMES.

Dear k.d., Well I hope you are OK. Are you going to appear at Provinctown in a club on shore or will we be able to board the boat tho not take the trip. I just can't afford it, and I do so want to see you again. At Foxwood you lit up my whole day especially when the usher transferred us to those two second row center seats. My day was made. Did the band tell you that we met with them after the show about 1 AM. We were looking for SUE's husband and he had already taken a bus to Worcester. He was a pain in the A--. Poor Sue and I waited and looked for him until 3.30 AM and then took off. She was dead tired after the two hour drive home yet managed to get an hours sleep and went to work. God Bless her little heart/ She would be willing to go again to P.Town and Bostonagain as she liked you tho she only came to know of you when she went to work for me. Saw your Harvest and pictures all over the place
and listened to the CD'c I have of you. All but the Tribute to Patsy Cline which never came out. WE all want to hear you sing CRAZY and Sue knows all the songs and when she works for me I get my fill of songg and dancing, ols songs, new songs, poems and funny sayings. She's a handful. Loves music. Hope to see you soon and if you can please send me two tickets for second row center. I really can't afford them. Boke off with my new soulmate the day before Valentines day as I couldn't afford to move out to Indiana to live with her. Been here29 years. But if I had money I'd travel. Got my Dicover card down to $610.00 and three more payments should pay it up. Thank God. It's been a big chain around my neck and now my landlord says he's got to go up on my rent as he has to put a new septic tank in. Cost $10,000. So up goes my rent. My picture will appear in the golden threads that gay club for Seniors....45 and over.Wish you'd visit them in Demorest Ga. Tel # is 706-776-3959 What does the little house mean on some of my letters???Hope when I come back to this site I'll see another. I feel you've read my message. Am I right??? LOL Rainbow

[488] store music Posted by:P McCarthy Date:02/17/2004, Tue 11:11:37

Dear k.d.
I think someone put a big in Victory Mrkt. ears. I went down to the store many times since I last wrote this but woulyou believe that they played only your son"summer fling" the other day when I went shopping and then no more music. I meant to ask the clerk but forgot as I was so busy checking out. I know them all ny sight but not by name. It is Erieee Feel as tho you are near. Broke up with Liz day before valentine
day and guess what I wasn't about to call her back and she couldn't resist and called me the 15th and told me to keep calling her each morning. I have the Verizon Pkg. Plan so it really doesn't cost me to call anywhere for any length of time I want for only $73.43 per mo.
I could even talk to you in Calif for hour at a time and it would still only cost me &73.00 per mo. That's VERIZON FREEDOM PKG> PLAN. Bless their little hearts.
